Carol brings a track record and personal passion for understanding consumer behavior, and solutions that focus on improving consumer experience, engagement and value to the role of chief marketing officer for Cambia Health Solutions. Identifying trends and new technologies that can improve engagement with consumers, and improving customer marketing has been a focus of Carol’s throughout her career. She leads marketing, branding, research and insights, consumer experience and human-centered design, consumer engagement and digital solutions teams that are a fundamental part of Cambia’s consumer-centric evolution. In addition to helping Cambia and its health plans and health solutions businesses focus on the end-to- end consumer experience, Carol and her teams are delivering mobile and web solutions to drive convenience, education and personalized engagement to enrich people’s health and well-being and achieve better outcomes. Carol is charged with helping the company transform how it engages with business customers and their employees and patients, and delivering game-changing health solutions to the marketplace.

Before joining Cambia in 2014, Carol was senior vice president and chief marketing officer at ESPN, expanding the company’s brands through award winning omni-channel advertising and delivering on sophisticated data-driven communications strategies. Carol spent 10 years at The Coca-Cola Company, delivering digital, mobile and social products and marketing for North American brands and then across the company’s global footprint. Carol led the transition for the company toward innovative new communication and engagement channels, with a focus on leveraging data to deliver targeted, relevant messaging and experiences. Prior to Coca-Cola, she held marketing/senior management roles at three Silicon Valley startups where she focused on software development, hardware/software for consumer digital imaging, and online consumer payments and promotions.

Active in industry and community organizations Carol currently serves as Portland chapter president of The CMO Club, and is on the board of trustees for Portland’s Pioneer Square, the executive committee for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement in Oregon and southwest Washington, and on the board of directors for Unified.

Carol is a graduate of University of Southern California, with a Master of Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in international relations from Pomona College.
